Cultural Competency
Cultural Competency is the ability to understand, communicate with and effectively interact with people across cultures. This includes acknowledging, valuing, and respecting differences and similarities within and between cultures, promoting equity and inclusion, and challenging systemic barriers to diversity.
Level 1: Emerging
At an emerging level you are beginning to gain understanding and knowledge of different cultural perspectives. You show eagerness in growing your ability to navigate within a diverse, inclusive environment.
Level 2: Proficient
At a proficient level you are able to demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of different cultures, beliefs, and backgrounds, actively promoting diversity and inclusion within the organization.
Level 3: Advanced
At an advanced level, you are able to effortlessly navigate and thrive in diverse cultural environments, demonstrating a deep understanding and respect for different perspectives, beliefs, and values.
