User testing
The process of evaluating a design or product with real users to understand how it’s used and to identify areas for improvement.
Beginner competence definition
Beginner-level individuals are able to conduct basic user testing, such as usability testing and focus groups, and have a basic understanding of how to analyze and interpret user testing data. They are familiar with common user testing methodologies and techniques.
Intermediate competence definition
Intermediate individuals are skilled in conducting user testing in different contexts and environments. They have the ability to use user testing data to inform and validate design decisions, and understand how to use user testing data to identify areas for improvement and optimize the design.
Advanced competence definition
At an advanced level, individuals are experts in conducting user testing in complex and challenging environments. They are skilled in developing and implementing comprehensive user testing plans. Their understanding of how to use user testing data also allows them to generate new insights and inform design innovation.
