Basic First Aid

Basic First Aid is the ability of a Frontline Worker to provide immediate and temporary care to individuals suffering minor injuries, sudden illness, or psychological distress in the work environment until professional medical help arrives. It includes tasks such as wound dressing, CPR, and health crisis de-escalation.

Level 1: Emerging

At an emerging level, you are beginning to familiarise yourself with basic first aid principles. Your knowledge is minimal and you may need guidance during emergency situations.

Level 2: Proficient

At a proficient level you are able to confidently apply basic first aid procedures in frontline situations, demonstrating quick thinking and effective support for those in need.

Level 3: Advanced

At an advanced level, you are able to confidently and effectively administer basic first aid in high-pressure situations as a Frontline Worker, ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in need.
