Emergency Preparedness and Response

Emergency Preparedness and Response is the capability to design, implement, and manage safety plans, protocols, and procedures addressing potential emergencies or disasters within facilities. It involves crisis management, risk reduction, and swift recovery to ensure minimal disruptions to operations and optimal facility safety.

Level 1: Emerging

At an emerging level, you are beginning to understand the basics of emergency preparedness and response. You're learning the fundamental policies, procedures, and safety guidelines within facilities management.

Level 2: Proficient

At a proficient level you are able to develop and implement emergency preparedness plans, conduct regular drills and exercises, and coordinate effectively with emergency responders in a Facilities Management setting.

Level 3: Advanced

At an advanced level, you are able to develop comprehensive emergency response plans, conduct regular drills and training exercises, and effectively coordinate all aspects of emergency preparedness within a facilities management context.
