Incident Investigation

Incident Investigation is the process of identifying, analyzing, and addressing the root causes of environmental health and safety-related occurrences or near misses. This capability collects data, evaluates risks, and generates solutions to mitigate such incidents, driving continual improvement in workplace safety.

Level 1: Emerging

At an emerging level, you are developing skills to investigate incidents, gain an understanding of cause, and create initial reports within the Environmental Health and Safety context.

Level 2: Proficient

At a proficient level you are able to effectively investigate and analyze incidents in the workplace, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences, ensuring environmental health and safety.

Level 3: Advanced

At an advanced level you are proficient in conducting thorough incident investigations in compliance with environmental health and safety regulations, utilizing advanced techniques to identify root causes and develop effective corrective action plans.
