Industrial Hygiene

Industrial Hygiene is the practice of anticipating, recognizing, evaluating, and controlling environmental forces and stresses arising in or from the workplace, which may cause sickness, impaired health, or significant discomfort among workers or citizenry in the community.

Level 1: Emerging

At an emerging level you are beginning to understand critical concepts of industrial hygiene within the Environmental Health and Safety sector, with supervision for guaranteed protocol compliance.

Level 2: Proficient

At a proficient level you are able to assess workplace hazards, identify exposure risks, and implement controls to maintain a safe and healthy environment in accordance with environmental health and safety regulations.

Level 3: Advanced

At an advanced level, you are proficient in developing comprehensive industrial hygiene programs, conducting complex exposure assessments, and implementing controls to mitigate health risks in the workplace.
