Influencing skills

Influencing skills is the competency of emerging leaders to persuade or sway opinions, generate support, and inspire others towards achieving common goals, while respecting different viewpoints. It encompasses effective communication, emotional intelligence, nuanced negotiation, and strategic relationship-building, curated by exercising a keen understanding of team dynamics.

Level 1: Emerging

At an emerging level, you are beginning to demonstrate the ability to persuade others, understanding their perspectives to build credibility, make impactful recommendations and gain support for shared goals.

Level 2: Proficient

At a proficient level you are able to effectively influence others within the organization by using your expertise, credibility, and interpersonal skills to gain support for your ideas and initiatives.

Level 3: Advanced

At an advanced level you are able to effectively persuade and inspire others, influencing key decisions and driving positive change within the organization as an Emerging Leader.
