Intercultural Empathy
Intercultural Empathy is the ability to understand, accept, and effectively engage with diverse cultures. This involves recognizing, respecting, and appreciating cultural differences while fostering an equitable and inclusive environment that promotes mutual understanding, collaboration, and social justice.
Level 1: Emerging
At an emerging level, you are developing an understanding and sensitivity towards cultural diversity. You are starting to appreciate and respect differences, aiming to foster inclusivity and promote equity.
Level 2: Proficient
At a proficient level, you are able to demonstrate empathy towards people from diverse cultures, understand their perspectives, and effectively communicate and collaborate with them in an inclusive manner.
Level 3: Advanced
At an advanced level you are able to deeply understand and empathize with individuals from diverse cultures, actively seeking to bridge cultural divides and foster a truly inclusive environment within the organization.
