Language Accessibility

Language Accessibility is the ability to create or adapt communication methods ensuring information is comprehensible to individuals of different linguistic backgrounds, thus promoting inclusivity, equal access and participation, in alignment with the core principles of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Level 1: Emerging

At an emerging level, you are beginning to understand the importance of language accessibility in promoting diversity, equity and inclusion. You are learning to leverage accessible language in workplace communications.

Level 2: Proficient

At a proficient level you are able to ensure language accessibility for all individuals, utilizing translation services and accommodating different language needs to promote inclusivity and equal access to information.

Level 3: Advanced

At an advanced level you are proficient in creating inclusive language practices that prioritize accessibility for individuals of diverse backgrounds, ensuring equitable communication and fostering an inclusive environment.
