Cross-Cultural Competency

Cross-Cultural Competency is the ability to interact effectively with people from different cultures, understanding, respecting and valuing their norms and practices. This proficiency also involves adaptability, open-mindedness and empathy to foster diverse and inclusive work environments.

Level 1: Emerging

At an emerging level, you are beginning to identify and understand cultural differences. You are demonstrating a willingness to learn, engage and adapt within diverse cultural environments.

Level 2: Proficient

At a proficient level you are able to effectively navigate and communicate in diverse cultural contexts, demonstrating a high degree of cultural intelligence and sensitivity in your interactions and decision-making processes.

Level 3: Advanced

At an advanced level you are able to navigate complex intercultural dynamics with ease, demonstrating a deep understanding and respect for diverse perspectives, values, and communication styles.
